THE RETREAT available at Fictionwise

Wahey, my short BDSM erotic romance novella THE RETREAT is now available at Fictionwise!

Here's the blurb:

Ben Chambers is the perfect boyfriend, the perfect lover, the perfect man. Sarah adores him, but she knows that despite the deliciousness of their lovemaking, their shared interests, and the fun they have together, there's a certain special something missing in their relationship. And then, arriving for a hedonistic weekend of luxury at an English country house hotel, something happens that changes everything between them. A momentary, inconsequential pat on the bottom opens the door to a breathtaking world of daring and transgressive sexual pleasure...and forges a bond that's both profoundly physical and a melding of their souls.

Available at Fictionwise in a variety of file formats.

ps. if you fancy Edward Norton in The Illusionist, you'll like Ben... ;)

More news about two of my new print releases!

Here's the lovely cover of the print version of my naughty, crazy sex romp novel WILD IN THE COUNTRY! I always adored the ebook cover and I think it translates beautifully into a wrap around version for a print edition. The colours are simply gorgeous and the couple look both sexy and loving, which is perfect.

The latest publication news is that the *official* realease date is 15th May! Although the book's already listed at online booksellers, it's not yet actually shipping, but come the 15th you should be able to order it and have it delivered straight away. One of the best things about this release is that in the US, the book will be shipping *from* the US, so there won't be any exorbitant postage charges. Same with the UK.

You'll find it at Amazon.com and Amazon.co.uk and as I mentioned before, there's a hot excerpt to be found here... enjoy!

And lest I forget, BOUND BRITS comes out in print on the same day, with another cover that looks just as striking and effective in a printed version. This contains my BDSM erotic romance novella THE RETREAT as well as fantastic novellas by five other wonderful authors.

It'll be available from Amazon.com and Amazon.co.uk and there's an excerpt here to whet your appetite.

My Mayday Triple Header!!!!

Somehow, me being me, I managed to forget or miss the fact that yesterday was publication day for THREE new titles of mine!!!

MAGIC AND DESIRE is a new Black Lace paranormal erotic romance title that contains my novella Ill Met By Moonlight. It's the story of a girl who meets a gorgeously big and butch fairy while staying at a seaside holiday cabin. You can read an excerpt here.

It's available from Amazon.co.uk and to pre-order from Amazon.com

BOUND BRITS is a British themed BDSM anthology, published by Total-E-Bound. It was published a short while ago as an ebook, but is now out in print from Amazon.co.uk. My contribution is a story of pervy passion and emotional discovery called The Retreat.

WILD IN THE COUNTRY is a previously published novel of mine which has been revamped and republished, also by Total-E-Bound. The ebook came out some time ago, but it's now available in a print edition. It's a wild, crazy and very pervy bucolic frolic, full of lots of kinky sex and colourful characters. You can read an excerpt here and order a copy from Amazon.co.uk.

More of that excellent news!

The BOUND BRITS anthology, containing my story The Retreat, is also going to be published in the first round of print releases by Total-E-Bound!

So that's two lovely new print titles that I wasn't expecting. Isn't that fab? Especially for reader buddies of mine who still prefer a good, traditional printed book over an ebook.

No details yet of the actual release date... but I'll post it here as soon as I know it.

Also, hope to be back shortly to post details of another fun competition for BOUND BRITS, held by all of us BB authors!

Watch this space... :)

Bound Brits

Here's the dramatic cover for the Bound Brits anthology, which contains my BDSM novella THE RETREAT.

It's very striking, isn't it? Very hot... and I like it a lot. It's not awfully representative of the tone of my story though. The Retreat isn't about whips and chains and scene BDSM... it's more about intimate, intense, almost domestic discipline. Play that's very quiet and lacking in histrionics, a sweet little game between two people discovering their love.

Here's Ben... controlled, enigmatic, quietly powerful.

Bound Brits is out in February from Total-E-Bound

lurgi again

I think I've got a lurgi again... not Ebola, as illustrated above, but some cold/flu/virus type thing that's going about. Have the usual cocktail of cough, bunged up head, aches and pains and various... and it might account for the fact that I was in such a bad mood yesterday. And today...

And it's so hard to work when I feel like this. I just want to lie down. But I have managed to get my The Retreat proofs checked and returned. Pretty smooth process, thankfully, given the way I'm feeling. The story reads quite nicely, and I do like my hero, Ben...

Think I may have 40 winks, maybe, now, and perhaps that'll pep me up so I can do some bits and pieces of work later.... hopefully...

ps. have a good thought for my moggie, Kuffer. He seems to be a bit under the weather today too.

temper tantrums

I'm having one of those sorts of days again. Just feel swamped and aggravated and in that mood when if anything doesn't go exactly as I want it to, I'm likely to crush, mash, smash or grind it into bits.

I've been trying to get a few things organised, but the process of trying to get things into some kind of order just seems to create more disorder. I think I'm in some sort of twilight, inverse zone where the opposite of what I intend happens. Grrrr....

The only actual achievement today is finishing the second round of proof checking on ILL MET BY MOONLIGHT, and sending off the corrections to the editor. These proofs weren't too difficult a task, just one or two scrappy bits here and there, but now I've finished them, I've to start out on another set, for THE RETREAT. A cursory glance at the latter doesn't reveal anything too serious though, and it's only a fairly short novella.

When this is done though... I *must* get back to IN TOO DEEP!!!!! Again, I seem to have lost contact with it, but not too badly I hope. I keep seeing the next bit of it in my head, just a particular image that has really touched me somehow. I think it's in my mind because I'm watching a lot of Numb3rs at the moment, and Professor Hottie is quite clear in my mind.

First of the Year!

Well, it's 8th January and I've broken my sales duck already!

I just heard that my short novella THE RETREAT, is going to be part of the Bound Brits anthology, published by Total-E-Bound on 25th February.

Check back for more news on this nearer the time, but while you wait, here's a piccie of delicious Ben, the hero of the novella.

Yeah, I know... it's Edward Norton in The Illusionist, but he's the guy I have in mind for the role. :)

The Last Mince Pie

Well, I just ate the last mince pie of the Christmas season... and boy, it was nice. Still plenty of chocolate left though... :)

It's been quite a productive morning so far and it's not yet noon. Have done a bit of web design, and also a creditable 1.1K of IN TOO DEEP. Not bad stuff, a bit rambly, but at least it's words. I have to really buckle down at the moment, as not only am I trying to maintain the momentum with this book, I'm also catching up on around half a dozen sets of web updates that I couldn't do while I was chasing my THE RETREAT deadline, and a set of page proofs arrived this morning to check!!!!

These are for ILL MET BY MOONLIGHT, my novella in the MAGIC AND DESIRE anthology, which is published later this year. It's a long, long time since I looked at this novella, at least fourteen months! So reading it will be a bit of a novelty. Fortunately, it's not a huge checking job at 25K, but I still hate doing proofs... eek!

Ups and Downs...

Yesterday, I was astonishing!!! I wrote 4K words on The Retreat. Yes, a whole 4000 words in one day... isn't that amazing. I felt like a real, productive writer, the sort I read about in blogs who are prolific as nobody's business and are surging forward and securing faboo contracts all over the place!

Today, I'm less astonishing... in fact, I'm crap. Have done nothing so far, and have got hooked into watching a movie I know I shouldn't have, because I won't be able to stop now...

It's about this guy...

Jason Bourne - one man mayhem factory. Mmmmm..... me like.

What a relief!

After grappling with a variety of Christmas stuff, and a deluge of web design chores, I'm finally writing again... Thank God for that! I'd almost forgotten what it's like!

My current WIP is my romantic BDSM novella The Retreat, with a hero, Ben Chambers, inspired by Eisenheim the Illusionist aka Edward Norton.

Isn't he gorgeous?

I think I have a slight thing for handsome guys with beards. The Divine Vincenzo looks fab with some facial hair, and Professor Hottie often seems to be sporting a manly growth of designer stubble. Mmmmm....

Sorry for the gaps...

... but I will try and do better now that my Gothic Heat proofs are turned in. Boy was that a task! As usual, I didn't trust the first check, so I forced myself to do another... which was good job, as I found lots and lots of snafus on the second pass. And many of them weren't ones that a proof corrector, looking for just spelling and stuff, would have picked up on. You wouldn't think that a novel from somebody who plots as little as I do could have many continuity errors, but believe me, even with the slightest of plots, it's possible!

And now I have to get back to writing, as well as a zillion other jobs that have stacked up while I've been doing proofs. My first task is a short novella, workingly titled The Retreat, which I have to finish by the end of December. It's going to be one of those naughty ones with spanking and power games, and in the course of some movie viewing, I've discovered the perfect hero for it.

Edward Norton, looking stern and delicious as Eisenheim, in The Illusionist. I love his power and his quiet composure, qualities that make him ideal as a model for my subtle but dominant Ben. My story isn't historical, but there's certainly a slight anachronistic and Edwardian bohemian quality to this guy.

In other news, don't forget to check out my interview at Lovehoney, mentioned below, and tomorrow, I'll be guestblogging at lovely Bella Michelle Buonfiglio's 'Let's Talk Romance' blog, as part of EROTIC ROMANCE WEEK. Why not visit there today, too, as the guest is the fabulous Emma Holly with some of her romance writing friends.
