I've been interviewed again!

I've been interviewed again, this time at Fierce Romance, with the lovely Natasha Moore asking the questions. It was a fun Q&A and I really enjoyed the experience. :)

I've been interviewed!

Romance Writers Behaving Badly: Best Interview Ever from a Legend: Portia Da Costa...: "APRIL: Portia, I'm so excited to meet and talk with you today. Your name and brand have been around for a long time and when I first started..."

Want to hear more about how I began as an author and how I think romance writing has changed since I began, all those years ago, back when the dinosaurs roamed? Want to know a bit more about my latest release FAR FROM PERFECT and its hot alpha hero Nick Lisitano?

Check out my interview by April aka R. A. Morelock, over at Romance Writers Behaving Badly! :)

New Interview

There's a new interview with me up at ERWA at the moment. My friend Ashley Lister - author, journalist, reviewer and all round renaissance man - asked me a few 'Between the Lines' questions about how I create and then re-use characters, especially in my Stoneworld novels.

Between the Lines - Portia Da Costa

For those of you not aware of Stoneworld, it's the fictional northern municipal borough I created around this delicious man... Borough Director of Finance Robert Stone as 'played' by the awesome Vincent D'Onofrio. :)

The Mad Hatter

Here's a piccie of my new bush hat/sun hat that I just got for my trip to RWA. It's for just in case we choose to go out for a stroll and the sun is bright. I'm not one for exposing my lily white face to the rays, and also with my hair being so chemicalised so brutally, it's not a great idea to get too much sun on that, either. I think the chapeau looks quite nifty, even allowing for me looking like a dead dog due to lack of makeup. :)

In other news, I had a sleepless night, mulling over something, so I feel pretty knackered today. I've made my peace with the issues that were bugging me, and actually see positive spins now, but it's left me weary. I may have forty winks in a minute, or, if I can't nod off, I might relax with Saskia Walker's gorgeous book RECKLESS, which I'm currently loving and savouring.

In even *more* news, I've been interviewed again! This time it's at the wonderful WE WRITE ROMANCE site.

Cata Fabulous... and a jolly good day!

Visit CataRomance Sensual today and read an interview with me! :)

And there's also a lovely review of MAGIC AND DESIRE - containing my story ILL MET BY MOONLIGHT...

Have had a lovely day... mainly due to stepping out to lunch with my wonderful writing buddy, Saskia Walker! Lots of lovely chat, and planning for RWA, and generally having a laugh... I treasure these lunches, and I can't wait to travel to America with Saskia and Madelynne. It's going to be a hoot! :)

Bits and bats...

Well, it's the first of October and the fabulous Raven Halloween Hunt is on! I hope you'll click the graphic above and take part in this fun game of hide and seek... There are lots of authors taking part and offering many, many fabulous prizes, including books from little old moi!

On the subject of games of Hide and Seek the above anthology, edited by the fabulous Alison Tyler and Rachel Kramer Bussel has just been published, and it contains an offering from Portia Da Costa! GLINT is a naughty short about a frisky couple on holiday and their sexy high jinks on a beach. There are stories in the collection from lots of top authors, including my fabulous writing buddy, Saskia Walker.

It's available from both the Amazons now: Amazon.co.uk and Amazon.com

HOTBED is out too, in the UK, and imminently in the US... It says on the front it's 'an erotic romance', but to be honest, that's stretching a point. It's more like a woman's voyage of sexual discovery type story... and it's very, very rude! But... the heroine does get her man in the end, and something he says and does shows her that she's the one for him even if there's not a lot of hearts and flowers and stuff.

Check it out at the Amazons: Amazon.com and Amazon.co.uk

STOP PRESS... there's a spiffy new interview with me in The Sandbox at The Writing Playground

-----------------------
While you're here, please, please, please pop over the the Night Owl Romance Awards and vote for me in the Best Erotic Contemporary Ebook!

If you love you some Portia click here and VOTE, VOTE, VOTE every day until 31st October!
