Twelve Shades of Surrender - in print!

The fabulous 12 Shades of Surrender series of short BDSM erotica has now been released in print! This delicious dozen has been split into two fab volumes, each with a super stylish monochrome cover.

My story CHANCE OF A LIFETIME is in the UNDONE volume, along with stories from Lisa Renee Jones, Alegra Verde, Adelaide Cole, Elisa Adams and Tiffany Reisz.

The BOUND volume features my fabulous buddy Saskia Walker, along with the great Alison Tyler, Anne Calhoun, Eden Bradley, Emelia Elmwood and Megan Hart.

August is an awesome month for me! I hardly know where to start with news, but the above poster is as good a place as anywhere. 

IN TOO DEEP is being reissued by Black Lace with a gorgeous new cover and has been selected by W H Smith for a special 50 Shades of Grey related promotion starting on 2nd August and lasting two weeks. Obviously the fabulous half price opportunity is just for shoppers in the W H Smith stores, but it's also available at a competitive price at all the usual outlets. And still available as an ebook with its pretty in pink original cover.

Speaking of Harlequin/Mills and Boon's fantastic Twelve Shades of Surrender promotion, there are two new super bits of news. My 12 Shades title CHANCE OF A LIFETIME will now be appearing in print, as well as an ebook, in two anthologies, on either side of the Atlantic.

This morning I was searching the net for some old Portia pix, and to my surprise, I happened on the lovely cover above, one I'd never seen before and had no knowledge of... Wasn't sure what it was at first, but seeing the Spicy logo in the bottom right corner, it dawned on me that it's my first ever Harlequin story IN PRINT!

Yes, it seems that CHANCE OF A LIFETIME is part of a French print anthology of Spice Briefs, along with stories by Lillian Feisty, Kit Tunstall and Charlotte Featherstone.

Fabboo news... I'm in Naughty Bits 2!

Just had some delightful news... in that, my first ever Spice Brief, CHANCE OF A LIFETIME, is going to be in the second Spice Brief print anthology, NAUGHTY BITS 2!

Now everyone who knows me knows how much Chance means to me. It's the culmination of my dream to be published by Harlequin. And now, to see it in print... well, that just blows me away completely! To say I'm thrilled to bits is putting it mildly. :)

Some rather nice news!

Not actually about CHANCE OF A LIFETIME, although that still seems to be selling very nicely... No, the news is I've had two more ideas for SPICE BRIEFS accepted! :)

The first, ANOTHER CHANCE, is linked to Chance of a Lifetime, and is about Maud, an archivist who comes to Blaystock Manor to sort out the Marquis's rather valuable collection of documents and manuscripts. Expecting a quiet gig amongst the dusty papers, she doesn't bargain for becoming involved with William Graves, the hunky loner estate steward.

A GENTLEWOMAN'S RAVISHMENT is another linked story, this time to A Gentlewoman's Predicament. So, more naughty goings on in discreet Victorian society, and a married woman who dreams of been swept away by a sexy brigand.

No idea when these will appear, as I've only written about two thirds of Another Chance yet, but I would guess it'll probably be 2010 before they appear. But you never know... ;)

Bits and bats...

First of all...

READ A HOT EXCERPT OF 'CHANCE OF A LIFETIME' AT LUSTBITES!

Well, I've finished writing KISS IT BETTER and the manuscript file has gone off to the editor now. After quite a wrangle with this mutha throughout the months I've been writing it, I did end up liking the story and the characters very much. It's very sexy, in a playful sort of way, and has a rather touching [hopefully] romantic storyline at the heart of it. It's also a Stoneworld story, although characters from previous books only appear in a peripheral sort of way, and then only one or two of them. I didn't want to shoehorn everyone into it, and it seem too contrived in consequence. ;)

I've also just sent off a story for the Black Lace 'Misbehaviour' anthology. This isn't a commissioned piece, so fingers crossed everyone that the editor likes it and wants to include it. 'The Distraction' is a rather naughty BDSM type story, and another of my older woman/younger man tales... although not cougarish, as it's definitely the guy who's the hunter in this case!

With those two projects off my desk, I now have to decide what to do next. I've been working on the second of my Risque Reunions novelettes for Spice Briefs, and have a first draft of SECOND TIME AROUND. That's currently sitting and 'fermenting', ready for me to go back to it and edit and polish it with a fresh eye in a little while. I have the third of the Risque Reunions to write, but I need to give that some serious thought, as it's going to be the most emotional of the three and will need careful handling.

Aside from that, I'd like to sub to two more Black Lace anthos, The Affair and Sexy Little Numbers, although I must admit I don't have the foggiest clue what to write for either of those as yet.

What else? Who knows... I don't seem to be the most efficient of career planners, as there's nothing commissioned in the hopper after Risque Reunions. :(

I've got some ideas, but there's nothing 'big' enough somehow... no high concepts, no storylines that grab me by the throat and demand that I write them. It's hard... I feel I should be stretching myself and pushing myself, but I'm not quite sure in what direction.

Anybody out there got any suggestions? What would you like to see ol' PDC write?
