She's home!

Everything went smoothly. No problems. Nothing sinister in the little cyst they removed. She's supposed to take it easy and have just a light meal tonight... and the photo above is of her having her fifth light meal since she got home!!! She has three little stitches that have to come out in ten days, but as she doesn't seem to be paying much attention to them, the vet says she doesn't need one of those giant collars... Which is super, because she's such a tiny thing that a whopping great collar would be quite an encumbrance for her.

It's so lovely to have Mulder back... she's only been away since 8am this morning, but I still missed her!

Glad she's okay!

Oh, have you thought about replacing her food dish with a non-plastic one? Sometimes the plastic can aggravate things and cause problems with the chin. At least that's what our vet said. He recommended stainless steel for that reason.

So glad she's safely home and doing so well. Give her a gentle stroke from me.

That's interesting, Nicole. I bought our cat some pottery dishes and she now refuses to eat out of anything else, so maybe the old ones irritated her.

Thanks for all your kind thoughts for Mulder! She's doing great today... :)

Yes, I will make a point of serving her food on a saucer or in a bakeware dish. We have a few old mismatched ones we use for feeding the cats. The others don't have any chin probs, so I think they will be okay with plastic, but Mulder has had allergies so maybe that's what's caused the trouble...

Thanks for mentioning that, Nicole!

No problem. :-) I just know that it's a problem for some cats. She's such a beauty, too.
