Well, the illustrated cake is a rather cheap but cheeky Angel Cake from Tesco, but I do also have some Coffee and Walnut Cake, with buttercream, to eat next!
One of the things I'll miss most once we move is our bakery.
It's a lovely little place that makes small batches of bread, homemade soups and cornish pasties, and an absolutely amazing white chocolate blackberry cake.
It's tunningly fluffy and moist with wild blackberries and real cream in the middle.
Oh, Seeley, we used to have the most fabulous independent bakery in the small town where I live... Glorious muffins, chocolate brownies, and a carrot cake to die for!
But they closed, to make way for a boutique selling very nasty cheap and slutty clothes... yuk!
Now we only have the supermarkets for confectionery...
Oh, Wendy, muffins and brownies are so American-sounding. What about the good old days when it was all jam doughnuts, cheesecakes (the ones with the coconut on top), currant buns and Swiss fingers? I know you can still get them, but they seem to be going out of fashion. (BTW my dad was a baker, so I have a vested interest)

Ahhhh Cake.
Cake is a good thing. I've had lemon cheesecake and caramel cake today myself.
Hi May!

Looks good enough to eat! I've got some cake in the fridge with a fabulously thick fudge topping on it calling my name - who needs dinner?
mmmm.... fudge topping... mmmmm

Chelsea buns, Eccles Cakes, Chocolate Mini Rolls, Butterfly Buns, Marble Cake... ah, all those grand old favourites! :)
What a gorgeous cake! Nothing like good cake.
I just came home from the gym. Now I'm off to get some cake! So much for the workout!
At the moment? What you talkin' about, girl? Cake is a staple of life. That's like saying, "I'm into air at the mo."
LOL, Babe!
The reason I say 'at the moment' is that I usually eat chocolate at my tea breaks and now I'm eating cake instead of chocolate...
Of course, I could eat *both*... but my hips, thighs and butt all scream 'NO!!!'
